From the PetUnited editors
Montrose combines a Chicago beach setting with a designated dog area, but a permit is an essential part of the plan. Each dog needs a Chicago Park District Dog Friendly Area permit/tag. Arrange that before traveling rather than assuming arrival is enough. Off-leash access belongs inside the dog area, so keep the rest of your approach separate from beach play.
